SUNRAYSIA Football League's best and fairest medal is named in honour of a fallen Digger.

The McLeod Medal has been awarded for decades, ensuring the legacy of Private Gregor Drummond McLeod lives on.

Gregor, or "Jigger" to his friends and family, was one of ten siblings.
