Ball is back and it has a new set of wheels

ONE lucky guest at Mildura's Make-A-Wish Ball will go home with a brand new MG, donated by event helper Paul Bromell and his partner Julie Gardner.

The ball is returning for the first time since 2019 and sponsorship coordinator Sarah Smith said the team were looking forward to it.

"We are just super excited to be able to do it again," she said.

"Our last ball, we raised $50,000 so we are hoping to exceed that this year, especially with our random prizes draw being the MG."

Ms Smith said the ball was hoping to attract a capacity crowd of 400 people, with proceeds going towards the foundation.

Tickets are $165 and include canopies, the main meal, dessert, beer, wine, soft drink and a chance to win the subcompact MG.

Ms Smith said the foundation was thankful for the car donation, calling Mr Bromell a "very generous man".

She was also thankful for the many local sponsors backing the event.

Cooke's Pools and Spas are the platinum sponsor for the event and managing director Cliff Cooke said the team were excited about the event's return this year.

"It is terrific to now see that we can do this again, it is a fantastic night," he said.

"The addition of the car, being able to work that into this process is just a terrific thing that Paul has done."

Mr Cooke said the company was glad to work with such an important organisation.

"We got involved because Make-A-Wish is a great organisation that does a lot of great things for kids," he said.

"When we got approached, we said why wouldn’t you get on board and help."

The event is being held on April 29 and tickets can be purchased from www.stickytickets.com.au/WJXAL
