MEMBER for Mildura Jade Benham has called for the State Government to invest in motorsport, particularly Mildura's Timmis Speedway, which is in dire need of safety upgrades to continue racing.

During a members statement in parliament on Thursday, Ms Benham acknowledged the efforts and "hundreds and thousands of man hours" by the speedway's committee and members.
