SUNRAYSIA wildlife photographer Peter "Slim" Dunstan captured a rare moment when 25 young Murray River turtles hatched at his property.

The event occurred in his garden near Carwarp Creek outside his home at Iraak, near Nangiloc.

Due to the recent floods, the eggs were located much further from the water than usual.
