Murray River up, with more water to come

THE Murray River has risen to its highest level in Mildura since 2016 but remains almost two metres below the high-water mark of six years ago, when riverside caravan parks, businesses and homes were affected by minor floods.

According to data from the Murray-Darling Basin Authority, the water level at Mildura Weir, at 34.49m Australian Height Datum on Friday, was shy of the November 2016 peak of 36.44m.
