YOUNG drivers were given a lot to think after taking part in Mildura's first Cool Heads Young Driver Program, with emergency services, magistrates and police sharing confronting real-life situations.

The program, at Mildura Arts Centre on Tuesday night, aimed to teach young people about the consequences of poor decisions on the road.
