A MILDURA councillor who played good Samaritan to a woman living out of a shopping bag has lamented the treatment of the region's homeless.

Cr Jodi Reynolds said she and her daughter stumbled across the woman while running some chores one weekend this month.

She used the council's monthly meeting this week to air her frustrations in their efforts to get the woman help.
