A GREY day was no issue for about 5000 people who came out in support of the Great Vanilla Slice Triumph in Merbein on Saturday.

"We had a fantastic day, we brought the crowds that we thought we would," organising committee member Janeen Norris said. "Even though the weather looked inclement, we still had big numbers turn out."
