JANE MacAllister will return to Wentworth Shire Council after being announced as the successful candidate in Wentworth Shire's election countback.
Cr MacAllister had previously served on the council between 2016 and 2021.
The New South Wales Electoral Commission conducted the countback following Greg Evans' resignation in June after six years on the council.
Seven unsuccessful candidates were able to register for the countback, which counted votes from the December 2021 election.
Wentworth Shire Mayor Tim Elstone said: "On behalf of my fellow councillors and staff, we look forward to working with Jane to continue representing our community and delivering positive outcomes for the residents of Wentworth Shire."
