AN updated study has revealed the economic importance of the racing industry to Victoria and its regional communities, just days after a successful weekend for the Mildura Racing Club.

Racing Minister Anthony Carbines on Monday welcomed key findings from the updated Size and Scope of the Victorian Racing Industry report.
