MODERN florals and bold ensembles proved winners for fashionable women at the Mildura Cup Carnival on Friday.

While there were just nine entrants across three women's Fashions on The Field categories, judges were impressed.

The local event proved a good fit for Adelaide's Shannen Graham, who took out The Lady of the Day on her first trip to Sunraysia.
