MILDURA Airport's multimillion-dollar instrument landing system will be operational by early next year.

The $4 million ILS, designed to assist landing in low-visibility weather conditions, was installed and officially launched during a ceremony at the airport eight months ago, but a rigorous process requires that three stages are signed off before it can go online.
