MILDURA has been beaten by Bendigo as Victoria's Top Tourism Town.

Mildura was one of eight finalists in the Victoria Tourism Awards Top Tourism Town category for towns with a population of more than 5000, with winners announced this week.

Bendigo claimed the Top Tourism Town mantle while Echuca won silver in the same category.
