THE SFNL is not in a financial position to risk moving its first grand final in three years to a new venue, say board members.

Tony Hickey said reports the decision to keep grand final matches at Mildura Recreation Reserve was made only because of netball were "not correct" and said keeping the 2022 SFNL Grand Final at Brian Weightman Oval was the "lower financial-risk option".
