A PIECE of Wentworth's history has been returned to the town after an oil painting of the Crown Hotel was donated to the Wentworth Shire Council.

Previous hotel owner Vince Dichiera donated the painting, completed in the 1980s by his brother-in-law, Terrence David Doyle.
