WHILE Merbein's footballers and netballers were chasing their dreams of premiership trophies at Kenny Park on Saturday, club supporters were having a gander at the most famous Australian cup of all. The 2022 Melbourne Cup is on a national tour staged by event sponsor Lexus and it came to Merbein a year later than was originally planned because of the pandemic that stopped a nation.
