PRE-POLLING centres will open on Monday ahead of the May 21 federal election.
Across the next two weeks, eligible voters can cast early ballots at more than 500 centres across the country, including two in Mildura.
Reasons to vote early, or to cast a postal vote, include being more than 8km from a polling place, travelling, being unable to leave a workplace to vote on election day or if someone is seriously ill.
According to the Australian Electoral Commission, 120,339 people are currently enrolled to vote in the Mallee electorate.
The most represented age groups locally are for those 70 and over, followed by 60 to 64-year-olds, and of Mallee voters, 61,000 identify as female and 59,200 male.
Across Australia, 96.8 per cent of eligible voters are enrolled for the 2022 election.
Locally, pre-polling centres will be open until election eve at 48 Twelfth Street, Mildura and 116 Eight Street, Mildura.
On election day, there will be 16 voting centres across Sunraysia, open from 8am to 6pm.
