WEDNESDAY'S early-morning rain didn't stop Sacred Heart Primary students from giving their all at this year's cross country event.

Held at Aerodrome Ovals, students from across all primary-age groups made their way around the course, fighting it out for the best time.

Teacher Jacob Burford said they were lucky the rain stayed away for the duration of the event.

"It went really well," he said.
