THE Australian Inland Botanic Gardens wants a 2500-year-old eucalyptus tree within its reserve to be heritage listed.

Known as the "WOW Tree", the eucalyptus oleosa is the oldest known tree of its species of its kind in Australia and a request has been made to include the tree on the Wentworth Local Environmental Plan 2011 heritage list.
