THE Yoo-rrook Justice Commission held its first public sitting on Thursday in an Australian-first process for justice with Wergaia and Wamba Wamba Elder Professor Eleanor Bourke at the helm.

Prof Bourke grew up near Swan Hill, living in Irymple and Nichols Point as a young person, and frequently visited her grandmother in Murraydale.
