MORE than 100 homes across Sunraysia were inundated by water overnight Wednesday as Mildura recorded its highest daily January rainfall on record.

More than a quarter of the city's yearly rainfall fell between 8pm Wednesday and 7am Thursday, keeping Mildura's State Emergency Service personnel busy with calls for assistance
