POLICE are appealing to the public to assist in providing information about "menacing motorbikes" in Mildura.

Mildura police said they had recently impounded four motorbikes for hoon activity.

They said there had been ongoing issues with "erratic" motorbikes riding around residential streets.

Police said the bikes were being dangerously ridden, often on the tracks along the train line.
