A MAN has been charged after a pedestrian was hit by a car and died in Dareton earlier this year.

About 7am on July 10, emergency services were called to the Silver City Highway near Fletchers Lake Road in Dareton following reports a vehicle had hit a pedestrian.

A 52-year-old man was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.
