MORE public seating overlooking the mighty Murray River will be available on Mildura's iconic riverfront early in the new year.

Council acting community manager Mark Jenkins this week said funding has been confirmed for the procurement of the seats, but getting the design consistent with the current setting of the riverfront had been a "major challenge".
