More dam releases test Murray River levels

THE Murray-Darling Basin Authority says Murray River flooding may be possible downstream of the Hume Dam if forecast rainfall of up to 100mm over southern NSW over coming days comes to fruition.

MDBA acting chief executive Andrew Reynolds said the authority was increasing the release of water from Hume Dam to create airspace ahead of the anticipated widespread rain.
