SUNRAYSIA'S unsealed roads may soon be getting an upgrade after the Federal Government launched a $150 million Remote Roads Upgrade Pilot Program on Tuesday.

The program will focus on remote unsealed roads, many of which have not been upgraded since the Great Depression.

The works aim to improve road safety by including road resurfacing, removing dangerous corners and managing vegetation.
