FORMER Sunraysia Daily journalist Else Kennedy was recognised for outstanding work as part of this year's Rural Press Club of Victoria awards.
Kennedy was highly commended for her story "On-farm water savings strategy failed, admits Keith Pitt", published on March 6, in the Best News Story (Online) category.
The story documented a group of frustrated irrigators that toured the Murray-Darling Basin with a papier-mache doll of Mr Pitt following his refusal to visit the region.
