JIM Stevens loved nothing more than to hear the Merbein Football Netball Club theme song on a Saturday, because the club only sings it when the Magpies have a win.

That convention was broken in Jim's honour this Saturday just gone, though, so that the black-and-white family could sing it for him one last time.
