AS travel restrictions continue to ease for Victorians, police are launching Operation Compass to ensure motorists are kept safe.

The operation will run in Sunraysia and across the state in two phases, with the first from 12:01am on Friday until 11:59pm on Melbourne Cup day, Tuesday November 2.
