THE Wentworth Show Society has cancelled this year's show due to coronavirus restrictions and safety concerns.

The show was due to be held on August 28 and 29 and the pre-show event on Sunday, August 15.

In a statement, the society said the spread of COVID-19 in NSW made it "impossible" for the show to go on.
