SUNRAYSIA aviators took to the sky on Saturday for Mildura Aero Club's first flying competition in more than 10 years.

Organiser and flying instructor Jordan Mattiacci said it was a "ripper day" and a great chance to bring the aviation community together for a bit of fun.
