A MILDURA man has died following a crash on the Karoonda Highway in South Australia on Tuesday.

Just before 9am, police and emergency services were called to Karoonda Highway near Murray Bridge, after a car left the road and crashed into a tree.

The sole occupant of the car, a 56-year-old from Mildura, died at the scene.
