IT'S full steam ahead at the Psyche Pumps, with volunteers gearing up for the traditional New Year's Day running day this Friday.

Visitors can experience a fully operational "Chaffey" engine, which was designed by George Chaffey and pumped water for irrigation in the Mildura area for 65 years under steam power.
