VICTORIA’S fire services will be overhauled after controversial changes passed parliament, ending years of political warfare. The reforms combine the Metropolitan Fire Brigade with paid Country Fire Authority staff to create Fire Rescue Victoria, with the CFA becoming volunteer-only.
