MILDURA escaped the bulk of a La Nina-inspired deluge that was forecast across the state on Wednesday.
But while forecasts were for up to 30mm, heavy showers did finally hit in the afternoon in a further boost for farmers in the region.
The Mildura Weather Station had recorded 11.8mm of rain for Wednesday.
More rain is expected on Thursday, although it is expected to be only be between 0-2mm.
While spring is often a time for storms, this, coupled with the La Nina event currently impacting Australia could mean some wet months ahead.
