REGIONAL Express (Rex) says it has "reluctantly" increased its Mildura flight schedule in response to QantasLink's "aggressive" expansion of its services to the region.

Qantas plans to triple the number of services operating between Mildura and Melbourne by the end of June, a move Rex said compelled it to match to avoid being squeezed out of the market.
