THE Victorian Farmers Federation (VFF) is encouraging working backpackers into regional areas on strict provisions.

VFF vice-president Emma Germano said if the 14-day isolation period was adhered to as well as strict health and safety measures, then travelling to regional areas for agricultural work was considered essential.
