A MILDURA family has been left devastated after their pet cat was allegedly killed in a sickening act of animal cruelty.

Mildura Police were called to the Mary Staker's property on March 19, following reports her missing ragdoll cross 'Calais' had been dumped in a neighbour's backyard - dead with a deliberately slit throat.
