A FLIGHT from Sydney to Ayers Rock Airport was diverted to Mildura on Tuesday as a precaution after an indicator light in the cockpit showed there was an issue in the cargo hold.

Emergency services were called to the Mildura Airport just after noon and were on standby when the Airbus A320 landed about 12.17pm without incident.
