NARRE Warren wingless sprintcar driver Chris Temby secured the honours of the AWSR Wide Open Wingless Series following a dramatic finale for the series on Saturday night at Mildura's Timmis Speedway.

Warrnambool's Luke Weel became the first man to win two rounds of the series, while Temby's eighth place in the A-Main final at the weekend was enough to earn the crown as winner of the series.
