FEARS this year's Easter Powersports Weekend will be a shadow of its former self have been cast aside, with Mildura Ski Club announcing a replacement event for the cancelled Mildura 100.

The Mildura 100 Ski Race -- and all events like it around Australia -- was cancelled last year after a series of fatalities across the east coast.
