John Conroy and AAP GOL Gol's endurance rider Toby Hederics has finished 19th overall out of 134 riders at his debut Dakar Rally, realising his dream to finish in the top 20 on debut.

The 29-year-old also posted a ninth-placed finish in the Rally2 category and was second among rookies.

Hederics ended up 33rd in the last stage on Saturday after a bright start.
