A BIT of tropical rain and some smart driving has helped Mildura’s Cam Waters claim another Supercars race win.

At the Townsville 500 on Saturday, Waters started in pole position before battling with familiar foe Chaz Mostert throughout a testing 250km.

During a late-race shower, Waters executed the pass that secured victory.
