NOT one but two Australian land speed records were broken recently by Mildura rider Jason Stewart at Lake Gairdner, a salt lake in South Australia.

The Mildura Motorcycle Club president was the man behind the handlebars of a 500cc Longtrack Jawa motorcycle, which was able to reach a top speed of just under 223km/h.

"They did such a good job setting up the bike, it was sensational," Stewart said.
