JUSTIN Sedgmen has been selected as the January winner of the 2023 Northern Mallee Sports Star of the Year.

The Merbein speedway rider secured a seventh-placed finish in the Australian Solo Championships in January.

The championships consisted of four rounds at speedways in Gillman, Albury, Kurri Kurri and North Brisbane.
