Mildura driver ends round on high after up-and-down Supercars opener

Mildura’s Cameron Waters had a roller-coaster weekend at Mount Panorama for this year’s new-look Supercars Bathurst 500 with some blistering racing interspersed with mechanical issues before yesterday finishing second in a Tickford Racing Ford Mustang behind race winner Shane van Gisbergen.

Cameron Waters has endured a weekend of mixed fortunes as the 2021 Supercars season kicked off with the Mount Panorama 500.

The Mildura driver grabbed second place on the podium in Race 2 at Bathurst on Sunday – reversing Saturday’s result which saw his Tickford Racing Mustang’s power steering give out during the opening race.
