TICKFORD Racing's Cameron Waters has finished runner-up in the 2020 Supercars Championship after finishing second behind Red Bull Holden's Shane Van Gisbergen and Garth Tander at the Bathurst 1000.

After Jamie Whincup crashed out early the door was left open for Waters, racing this weekend with co-driver Will Davison, to leapfrog him in the season tally.
