Vic Wide Family Fun Fair wraps up

THE family fun fair in Mildura gave kids one last chance to enjoy their holidays on Sunday with a return to school around the corner.

The Vic Wide Family Fun Fair (VWFFF) wrapped up on Sunday after 14 days of entertainment at the Mildura Racecourse.

VWFFF co-director Brad Versuth said the fair had "massive popularity throughout the community".

"It's just a great outing to get out of the dreariness we've been in with this lockdown.

"Nearly everybody who walked out the gate thanked us for putting on an event where they could have some fun," Mr Versuth said.

While interest in fairy floss was eternal, co-director Tony McCulloch said the claw, a ride shaped like a big hand that swings 360 degrees before going upside down, was the most popular attraction among teenagers.

He said show bags had also been popular, selling out at 2pm on Sunday afternoon.

The directors said that employing a local event management company had helped the event to fulfil its COVID-19 safety protocols, and were thankful for the business and community support they received over the two weeks.

"We're very keen to come back to Mildura. It's been a great town and vibe to work in," Mr Versuth said.
