YUMMY food, beautiful gardens and great company will be elements of the Garden of Hope’s high tea events.
Over three days next week, Sunraysia residents can take part in three events that will offer a variety of delicious homemade foods.
Director Debbie Halliwell said the Garden of Hope was the “perfect place” to host such events.
“We just love doing high teas,” she said.
“It’ s a lot of fun and the gardens are looking their best at the moment.
“It’s the perfect place for a high tea, with the gardens and Lake Hawthorn.”
Ms Halliwell said the events would vary.
“I wanted to have three different days with varying prices to ensure there was options for everyone,” she said.
“On the Friday there will be two savoury and two sweet food options, on Saturday there will be two savoury and three sweet and on Sunday there will be three savoury and four sweet, including arancini balls and lemon slice.
“The lovely Simone Liuzzi will perform and sing for us, courtesy of a Mildura Council grant, on the weekend.”
If the events are successful, Ms Halliwell hopes to host more in the future.
“I am already thinking about hosting one on the Melbourne Cup Tuesday, which would be a great day out for the whole family,” she said.
“My ultimate aim for anyone visiting the Garden of Hope is to inspire and encourage them to keep going and hope that by attending these events will leave feeling hopeful.”
The Bronze High Tea ($25 per person) will be held on Friday, October 8, at 1.30pm, the Silver High Tea ($30 per person) will be held on Saturday, October 9, at 1.30pm and the Gold High Tea ($35 per person) will be held on Sunday, October 10, at 1.30pm.
