THIS is a quote I just have to share.
You know when you have these moments where you see a quote and it really makes you stop and think? I was going to write about something else this week, but I feel like I had to share this with you.
The quote: “Don’t think about what you want to be, but (instead focus on) what you want to do.”
This is so true in so many aspects in life.
Let’s just look at it from a fitness perspective for now though.
Don’t think about:
– Being absolutely shredded
– Looking good
– Running your best ever 10km time
The above might be results of what you want to do every day but focusing on them alone won’t get you there and, I guarantee you, it won’t make you happy.
Now if we flip this and think, “What do you want to do?”
– Enjoy your daily exercise
– Enjoy a run in the sun
– Beat your kid in a game of basketball
Whatever it is that makes you happy, this is why it’s so important to focus on what you do.
The way I see it, if you were to do this, the end result is the top few points anyway.
You actually can achieve whatever you want to be, but be happy doing it in the process.
